    SuperGrok device-code is the mind. A billed XAI_API_KEY is fallback only.

    The web preview holds keys in RAM. Close the tab, they die. No localStorage, no cookie, no VITE_ secret.

  3. 03 · Desktop kit

    Keychain on Mac (AfterFirstUnlockThisDeviceOnly). Credential Manager on Windows. Not UserDefaults. Not iCloud.

  4. 04 · Your vault

    1Password, Bitwarden, or the OS keychain is the store. We ignore the 1Password login menu on these fields so it does not treat a model key as the kennel password.

  5. 05 · Never ship

    No keys in git, URLs, Gumroad receipts, tickets, or the desk log. Logs name the provider, not the secret.

  6. 06 · Hosted

    If we run the desk, mind is pups (extra) or BYOK. BYOK still lives in your vault. We do not want the raw key in a support mail.
